About Questionable Catacombs
Questionable Catacombs is a free online roguelite game you can play instantly in your browser. Every run drops you into a new procedural dungeon floor full of bad decisions, weird relics, potions of uncertain safety, and hostile things with office-supply energy.
It is turn-based and simple: move around the grid, bump enemies to fight, grab loot, find the stairs, and try to go deeper before your hit points evaporate. When you die, you keep pocket dust that buys tiny permanent upgrades, because this is a browser roguelite and the numbers must slowly go up.
How to Play Questionable Catacombs
- Move with WASD, arrow keys, numpad, or the on-screen buttons.
- Bump into enemies to attack them. They move after you take a turn.
- Pick up dust, potions, and relics. Relics change your stats for the current run.
- Find the yellow stairs to descend to the next procedural floor.
- When you die, spend pocket dust on small starting HP or attack upgrades.
Tips & Tricks
- Do not wake the whole floor. Pull one enemy at a time into a hallway.
- Potions are best saved until after a fight unless your HP is already awful.
- Permanent upgrades are intentionally small, but the early HP upgrade helps a lot.
