About Unfair Platformer Deluxe
Unfair Platformer Deluxe is the not-so-crappy version of our original rage platformer: a polished, free online unfair platformer game with 24 original single-screen rooms, real wall jumps, readable checkpoints, keyboard, touch, and gamepad support, and absolutely no emotional support. It keeps every trick from the first game and expands the campaign with more level combinations, clearer feedback, smoother menus, and a darker arcade presentation.
The movement starts honest, then the rooms begin taking pieces away. Floors turn to ice, the jump changes to release-to-jump, controls invert mid-run, fake input lag delays your timing, platforms blink out from under you, gravity flips, the camera tilts, enemies patrol landings, and the door runs away when it sees you coming. Later rooms stack those rules into ceiling routes, wall-jump gauntlets, delayed jumps, false confidence, and one final apology-shaped finale. Every room is beatable from its checkpoint, but the game is still built to make you say words at your keyboard or controller.
How to Play Unfair Platformer Deluxe
- Move with A/D, the arrow keys, the left stick, or the D-pad. The first rooms teach fast, grippy platforming before the rules start changing.
- Jump with Space, W, up arrow, A, X, RB, or RT on a controller. Hold for height, tap for short hops, and jump into walls to slide and kick away from them.
- Watch the HUD and canvas indicators. They call out lag, inversion, ice, release-to-jump, gravity flips, ceiling gravity, and blinking platform timing.
- Reach the door to advance. Every room is a checkpoint, and Continue starts from the last room you unlocked.
- Press R or B on a controller to restart the current room. Press M to mute, or use X from the controller menu. Touch controls are available under the canvas on phones and tablets.
Tips & Tricks
- A full jump is not always correct. Many rooms want a tap jump, an edge jump, or a wall kick with momentum.
- Blinking platforms are safest right after they appear. Land early, move before the fade, and do not admire the scenery.
- If the door runs, approach it from a different height or force it to bounce until it gets tired.
Unfair Platformer Deluxe FAQ
Is Unfair Platformer Deluxe beatable?
Yes. The rooms are cruel, but every checkpoint is intended to be solvable without random luck. The game records deaths and fastest completion time after a clear.
Is this replacing the original Unfair Platformer?
No. The original 16-room game stays available as the crappier version. Deluxe is a separate Not Soooooo Crappy remake with a new URL and leaderboard.
What does the leaderboard measure?
Fastest completion time. Local saves also track your best time, best death count, total deaths, wins, and last unlocked room.
Does Unfair Platformer Deluxe support controllers?
Yes. Use the left stick or D-pad to move, A/X/RB/RT to jump, B to restart the room, Start or A to start from the menu, Y to continue from your unlocked room, and X to toggle sound from the menu.
